We are studying the process of becoming a missionary. What do you need to know? Can you present the Gospel to others? What did God save you for?
"XperTS"
(Experiential Training Seminars)
- "XperTS" is training seminar to develop praxis. Praxis means to “learn by doing”. Praxis is the combination of theory, reflection and action. “Theory, action, and reflection are the three lenses of Praxis. If one of them is missing, the entire image is distorted. Theory needs action to make it practical and reflection to make it personal. Action needs theory to give it direction and reflection to give it compassion. Reflection needs theory to give it content and action to give it application. When theory, action, and reflection interact, the result is a powerful learning environment in which lives are transformed.” (Experiential Youth Ministry Handbook, by John Losey, Youth Specialties, 2004, p. 22) This is how the disciples learned from Jesus. They walked through life with Him and learned by experience. We have scheduled special times for witnessing. We will meet at the church for these witnessing opportunities. We will begin with prayer and then do the activity. We will conclude with a time of reflection and sharing. Join us for these great learning experiences.
